Located at 185 Dhartamtalla Street, Tipu Sultan Shahi Mosque is one of the finest specimens of Mughal architecture in Kolkata. This building was built in 1832 by Prince Ghulam Mohammed, the youngest son of Tipu Sultan, the legendary ruler of Mysore. Representing a distinctive architectural heritage, this mosque is doubled-aisled, has multiple domes and tall corner towers. Intricate designs adorn the heritage structure and its rounded arches betray a subtle European influence.
