New Interns
MEHRIN AHMED
Mehrin Ahmed is an undergraduate second year student , pursuing BA Political Science (Hons) from St. Xaviers College (Autonomous), Kolkata and comes from Assam. Her academic interests include history, politics, global affairs, East Asian cultural dynamics. She enjoys indie-alternative and rock music, photo journaling, reading as well as baking and cooking a wide range of treats. She was an active member of Utsarga, the social outreach club of my previous school, where she worked for the betterment of children in the public school of Nortap village, Sonapur, which was adopted by the school. Additionally, she served as a virtual intern for She Can Foundation in January 2024. Her role as a research analyst with Khwab – The Rural Project has honed her research and analytical skills.
Nayantara Sengupta
Nayantara Sengupta is an undergraduate Economics student at Ashoka University where she combines her interdisciplinary interest for humanities with her knack for economics and mathematics. She has been an intern at the Young Scholars’ Internship Programme organized by the Centre for International Relations and Development (December 2020). She has trained in violin from a young age and has been a part of the Kolkata Youth Ensemble, which is a community-based orchestra of young violinists in Kolkata who wish to make classical western music accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience. Nayantara also has a flair for art and design, and loves spending her free time with different forms of music, film, art and photography. She has been part of her family’s effort to contribute towards creating a better environment for children of household maids through an organization called Karma Kutir. At AGA she has also supported the organization’s media outreach programme
OISHINEE MAJUMDAR
Oishinee Majumdar is a student pursuing her undergraduate degree in Political Science, at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. She has a profound interest in International Relations, with special reference to areas like Indian Foreign Policy, globalisation, and gender studies. She has also taken part in various debates and quizzes which has furthered widened her understanding of politics at the international level. She has also volunteered at several NGOs. In her free time, she loves to watch films, read fiction and listen to music.
RAMADITYA GANGULY
Ramaditya Ganguly, is a second year student of political science perusing BA from St. Xavier’s College Kolkata. Having been born and brought up in Calcutta, he has always had a special interest in politics and the various questions pertaining to it, An avid reader he has a special interest in geopolitics of the Korean peninsula and the former Soviet Union, an interest which arose especially with the nuclear crisis in Korea of 2016-17. When he is not reading books or pondering about politics, he plays the violin.
