DEBANGI SANYAL
Debangi Sanyal is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sociology at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Debangi is primarily fascinated by the complex interplay of crime and restorative practices. She is deeply interested in global affairs, particularly exploring diverse areas such as international relations, global governance, economic diplomacy, and the role of transnational organizations in addressing pressing global challenges.Beyond academics, Debangi is a trained Bharatanrithyam dancer and likes to explore how performance influences social dynamics and cultural expressions, currently serving as an MA JU-SYLFF fellow.

LAHARI BANDYOPADHYAY
Lahari Bandyopadhyay is currently pursuing M.A. in Political Science at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She completed her graduation in Political Science (Hons) from Presidency University, Kolkata. Her major areas of interest revolve around politics and its sociological impacts, intersectional feminism along with gender studies and humanitarian crisis in the arena of international politics. She is curious about the issues of ongoing wars between countries and the violation of human rights taking place in the regions. Apart from this, she loves painting, listening to music and is also a classical dancer.

RIK BHATTACHARYA
Rik is currently pursuing an M.A. in History from Presidency University, Kolkata. My core areas of interest lie in the history of art and visual cultures in Bengal in the twentieth century, with allied interests including but not limited to the history of aesthetics, Marxian epistemologies, decolonisation & postmodernism in Indian art, and the history of satire in both literary and visual mediums. He is also keenly interested in the effects of materiality and political cultures and its varied expressions in and through the medium of art. Besides academics, he is an avid debater with keen interest in sports, especially football and cricket.

SHIVANGI BOSE
Shivangi Bose holds a Master’s degree in South and Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Calcutta and is a Loreto alumna. She has always been curious about lesser-known topics and committed to uncovering marginalized stories; therefore, she presented her postgraduate research on a largely forgotten chapter in India’s socio-political history. Dedicated to community service, she speaks English, Hindi, Bangla, and Japanese. In her free time, she enjoys story writing and finds comfort in cleaning and organizing.
