Sreeparna Rakshit

Sreeparna Rakshit is a First Class Graduate in Political Science (Hons.), currently pursuing her Master's Degree from the University of Calcutta. During her academic journey, she has developed profound interest in research and critical thinking by participating in departmental survey, paper presentations and power point presentations. Alongside her team, Sreeparna has conducted a research on Awareness about Indian Politics among First-time Voters. She has also co-presented a paper on Women’s Movement in Post-Independent India. Through working on several term paper projects about core Political concepts and Ideologies, International Relations and Public Policy, she has enriched her analyzing and writing capabilities as well. Besides, she has been awarded “Excellence” for Academic pursuit and Photography (her favourite pastime) by the Shri Shikshayatan College. Sreeparna is self-driven and persistent by nature. She seeks to enhance her skills and become a professional in the field of research and academics.

Samadrita Sarkar

Samadrita Sarkar is a second-year undergraduate student studying Political Science at Presidency University, Kolkata. Her research interests include International Relations and caste, especially Dalit Feminism. She is particularly interested in studying the link between caste and caste-based atrocities in the global context along with gender studies and women empowerment. She has recently presented a paper on ‘Erosion of due process in the Indian Legislation and its effects on public policy implementation.’ at Hindu College and seeks to publish more papers on caste. Apart from being an avid reader and great orator, she enjoys debating, and had participated in various inter and intra level competitions at school. She likes to believe that she has leadership qualities, which helps her in carrying out her duties as a class representative. She has previously worked as a volunteer at an NGO- Engage India Foundation and has served as an academic content writer for more than two years. She spends her free time listening to music and singing, mostly. She looks forward to bring about change in society through her education and research abilities.

Pratyusha Raychaudhuri

Pratyusha Raychaudhuri is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Political Science with International Relations from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She completed her graduation in Political science from the same institution. She takes a keen interest in international and regional politics, especially from a feminist lens. She speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, and has taken up German as an elective paper. She has taken part in the National Youth Parliament Competition in the years 2018 and 2019, wherein students conduct mock sessions to learn the workings of the parliament and offer fresh perspectives. Her article titled “How Indian cities look at greening urban mobility: Non-Motorized Transport and present-day policies” was published by the Center for Regional Research and Sustainable Studies, where she also worked under the Current Affairs Mandate. She has attended many conferences and presented papers on Gender issues.She has undertaken training in Bharatnatyam. She has been an organising member of a number of fests and academic events in her undergraduate years. She was also an active member of the Dance, Drama, and Debate clubs at Jadavpur University.

Olivia Banerjee

Olivia Banerjee is a second year Sociology honors student in Presidency University. With the growing obscurity of reality representation and discourses on social stigmas, she is interested to pursue a career in Political and Environmental Journalism. She has a particular interest in the social category, caste encompassing its origin, history along with the study of Indian economic context. She has presented a paper titled, 'কাশ্মীর ও শোকের রাজনীতি', in the 13th Debrupa Bal Memorial International Students' Seminar.
