Agniva Chakrabarti
Agniva Chakrabarti is a first year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) student at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. He is passionate about Indian politics, Indian history, International relations and Diplomacy and the Socio economic aspect of lives of people in the Eastern part of the country. An active member of the NUJS Literary and Debating Society and NUJS MUN Society, he also writes on legal issues and policy analysis in his home state (Tripura). He plans to write extensively on Demography, Migration and Displacement and Linkages on this blog. An avid reader he relishes Non-fiction books on a cosy Sunday afternoon and reads just the way a locust eats. Being an Aditya Birla Scholar he hopes his scholarship will help him contribute to the society by giving a voice to the voiceless and be an agent of change in the near future.
Ahana Basu Roy
Ahana Basu Roy is a Humanities student of grade twelve at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata. She is a member of the Model United Nations Society and the Debate Circle. Besides being actively engaged in public speaking, she regularly participates in elocution, extempore, creative writing competitions, and has been the Director of school-level plays. She is the Founder of Pnyx Model United Nations which raised funds for the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, and for the support of Indian Migrant Workers. She has also served as the Joint Coordinator of the Annual High-School Internship Programme, under the Centre for Studies in International Relations and Development, where she authored a research paper on the ‘Advent of Biological Warfare and Human Experimentation.’ She has held various leadership positions in school including School Captain, Senior Prefect, Editor of the History Journal, Member of the Department of English of the Editorial Board, Deputy Secretary General and Chairperson at LMCMUN 2020. She has been a volunteer at several NGOs. An excellent student Ahana is an avid reader, with a fascination towards Modern Classical Literature
Sanjana Banerjee
Sanjana Banerjee has recently graduated from Jadavpur University where she was pursuing B.A. Hons in English. This field of study allowed her scope to go beyond Literature in the strictest sense. She is interested in Subaltern studies and Postcolonial studies and is keen to develop better understanding of Indian Politics within the South-Asian context. She has written on religion and identity politics surrounding the life and activism of Malala Yousafzai and would like to continue with a career in the field of Human Rights. She is interested and trained in Indian Classical Music.
Mansi Goyal
Mansi Goyal is a third year undergraduate student of FLAME University, Pune. She is pursuing a major in Psychology and minor in Literary and Culture Studies. Her ardent interest lies in reading and writing about matters pertaining to the community. She envisions working with the underprivileged and helping them obtain equal access to mental health. She is also avid about research and has been previously involved in research projects ranging from an intersectional study of gender and class on women domestic workers to exploring the Armenian diaspora in Kolkata. Mansi believes that the personal is political, and aspires to imbibe ideologies that challenge the oppressive systems and practices such as patriarchy, caste and class system, capitalism, cissexism, etc.
