Pratyusha Das
Pratyusha Das is a second-year undergraduate student in the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She takes an ardent interest in political philosophy, gender studies, human rights, and international politics. Besides being engaged in public speaking, she had held a leadership position at an international MUN conference. Moreover, she's a member of the student council under Jadavpur University Debating Society (JUDS) and also a part of the JU Model UN delegation team alongside the Editorial and Reporting team for college media house, JUxPress. She has authored and presented various research papers at both national and international conferences on the issues pertaining to migration and climate, human rights violation, security and conflict, COVID-19, and xenophobia, etc. One of her research papers has been published by Sarasvati house under the book "The novel Covid-19: the human rights issues in India". She's vividly passionate about social welfare and is associated with national and international non-profit organizations and also volunteers towards humanitarian causes,
Sagnik Sarkar
Sagnik Sarkar is a second-year Undergraduate student of Political Science at the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. Having immense interest in Politics, International Relations, Conflict Studies, Regional Cooperation and Connectivity for a long time, Sagnik has been into researching since his school days. He has taken part in various inter-school and inter-University Academic Research Paper Writing, Policy Lab and Quiz events/competitions, winning some accolades for the same. He has published works in notable Think Tanks such as the Centre for Studies in International Relations and Development (CSIRD) and Asian Confluence, working as a Research Assistant Intern in the latter. He loves studying and knowing new things about his areas of interest and has attended various workshops/seminars on the same. Besides these, his major hobbies include reading, blogging, philately, and painting. He is also a football enthusiast.
Sayani Das
Sayani Das is pursuing her Bachelor's degree with honors in Political Science from Amity University, Kolkata. She has written research projects under the mentorship of her professors on the Jewish population of Kolkata and their occupation and various relevant topics. She has been an intern with the Centre for Studies in International Relations and Development as a part of which she wrote a research paper on the ‘Chinese Influence on the Global Economy’. She has also written a paper on the dangers faced by healthcare workers during the recent pandemic. She wishes to pursue a career as a political researcher or in international politics and her areas of interest include international relations, politics of US, Middle Eastern conflicts and China. She writes short stories and poems.
Sristhi Ghosh
Sristhi Ghosh is a Post Graduate student of Political Science from Calcutta University. She completed her Bachelor's degree from Loreto College, Kolkata. Her interest lies in Politics and Society, Gender Studies, Subaltern Literature and South Asian Area Studies. She has been awarded The Student of the Year by Times of India for excellence in academic and co-curricular activities. As a student of social studies, she takes direct interest in issues of gender and child welfare. Her volunteering experiences at 'Hamari Muskan'- NGO for protection and welfare of sex workers and children around the red light area of Premchand Boral Street and 'Missing'- engaged in generating awareness about human trafficking has greatly boosted her interest in this field. She also actively took part in events like 'Symposium on United Nations' by West Bengal Federation of United Nations Association and 'Green Revolution Program' under United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
